"Once in  Lifetime" Career Opportunity for a Collaborative Facilitator of Adult Learning and Professional Education!

With a clear focus on professionalism, government relations and strategic communications, the BCREA represents 12 Real Estate Boards and 18,000 REALTORS® throughout the province. The Director of Education role constitutes a unique opportunity for a visionary, customer-focused and collaborative leader with expertise in adult learning to contribute a fresh perspective to the design and delivery of a province-wide education system for REALTORS®.  Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Director of Education will work in consultation with the member Boards that BCREA serves and the Sauder School of Business to provide leadership in the development and implementation of a Strategic Business Plan to meet the changing professional development needs of REALTORS®. The Director will be supported by a small team within BCREA. This position will involve extensive liaison with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and some business travel.

The ideal candidate is a forward-thinking, adaptable leader with an enthusiasm for strategy and change, a high tolerance for ambiguity, sound political acumen and excellent listening, writing, and verbal communication skills. With a strong orientation to results, the right person for this role has had at least five years of experience in successfully overseeing the development, delivery and refinement of adult learning initiatives that effectively utilize contemporary technologies in complex contexts. Tactful, inclusive and proactive, the Director of Education must have the ability to facilitate effective discussion, the knowledge and experience to introduce new ideas and the skill to arrive at clear decision-making among parties with diverse interests and priorities. With solid project management expertise and the ability to realize practical, sustainable results, the ideal candidate has completed a post-secondary degree in a relevant discipline and has earned a reputation as a thoughtful, creative leader with the ability to get things done, through, with and on behalf of other professionals.
