The Operations Specialist proactively supports Business Managers, franchisees and restaurant managers to ensure that A&W restaurants operate to industry-leading standards and that the delivery of the guest experience is a competitive strength for the A&W brand.  An advisor, coach and problem solver, the Operations Specialist partners with A&W restaurant operators to strengthen their capability to ensure that A&W restaurants achieve and sustain operational excellence and superior results for sales growth, profitability, speed of service, and guest satisfaction. Reporting to the Regional Director, the Operations Specialist works closely with representatives of A&W’s Operations department, franchisees, restaurant managers and staff. This role is based out of a home office in a major community in Quebec and involves up to 40% to 50% overnight travel throughout Quebec as well as in other areas in Eastern Canada, as required.

An energetic self-starter with a strong drive for results, an ability to influence others and an aptitude for building exceptional relationships, the candidate must possess a passion for business, operations and customer service.  Resident in a major community in Quebec, the candidate must have high integrity and excellent problem-solving, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills. With the capacity to multi-task with ease and accuracy, the candidate must have sound judgment, a high tolerance for ambiguity and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.  Preferably, the candidate has had at least 2 years of operations experience in the hospitality or retail sectors and has completed a post-secondary degree in Commerce or Business Administration. The candidate must be fluently bilingual in French and English. The candidate must possess a valid driver’s licence and the ability and willingness to travel.
